Depending on who you ask...we are either coming out of, or in the middle of one of the worst economic times in the past few years. Not many industries have been hit as hard as the auto industry. Car sales are few and far between for dealers and many local car guys have shut their doors due to a lack of sales or support from their brands. The industry is hurting. For anyone paying attention Toyota had just taken the crown as the top selling auto brand when the economic bubble popped. The american car makers are looking for any help they can get...well that help has arrived. It has arrived on a few fronts.
A leading consumer magazine has rated a number of American made cars at the top of safety and best buy list.
That is good for American car makers.
Now Toyota, who was on top of the mountain, is getting slammed for recall after recall after recall. Obviously there is something to this recall...my question is...could this have come at a better time?
How about the Honda recall?
What great timing for the american car dealer! Obviously, I am rooting for the American dealers to lead the pack going forward...we need them.
Maybe it is all a coincidence, but a guy like me says....hmmmmm
